If you're new to the Asheville area, you may not be familiar with Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, but we love them! They're a no-kill shelter and their work includes traveling all over the Southeast (and then some) to rescue animals from natural disasters. They do such good work!
I love just about any animal that will let me pet it, but I'm especially fond of cats. They're loving, funny, smart, and always looking for a good sunbeam. If you're also a cat person and looking to adopt, check out our featured kitten, Ana!
Ana is SO CUTE. She's also FIV+ , which has some limitations, but cats with this virus can live long and happy kitty lives! Ana is Feline Leukemia positive (FeLV+), which means there are a few additional requirements for her care: she must be an indoor only cat; she needs to be an only cat unless the other cat/s in the household are also FeLV+, and she needs access to routine and emergency veterinary care as she may be more susceptible to illness than a cat who is not carrying the virus would be. She would be a great cat to add to your household if you already have a dog, as the virus is not transmissible across species.
